Dr Sunny Krishna
MD, FRACGP, DCH, B.Physiotherapy
Dr Sunny is passionate about helping people stay healthy throughout every stage of life and enjoys building long-term relationships with individuals and familie. He believes that the best healthcare starts with listening, taking the time to understand each person’s concerns and working together to achieve their health goals.
Sunny has a broad range of interests in general practice, including:
- Preventive healthcare and health checks
- Chronic disease management
- Healthy heart assessments and cardiovascular risk reduction
- Musculoskeletal and sporting injuries (he was a physiotherapist before entering medicine)
- Children’s health (he has a Diploma in Child Health and has worked at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne)
- Sexual health and HIV prevention (he is a PrEP prescriber)
- Men’s health
- Travel medicine (he is a registered Yellow Fever Vaccine provider)
- Minor skin procedures and skin excisions
- Implanon insertions and removals
Outside of medicine, Sunny enjoys everything cricket, refining his coffee palate and spending time with his young family.
Sunny consults on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and occasional Saturdays.
Sunny’s other professional roles:
- Medical Educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, with a strong involvement in educating GP trainees
- Member of the GP Advisory Committee for the Austin Hospital
- Member of the Clinical and Practice Council for Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (EMPHN)
- Presenter at the 2025 National RACGP Conference
