Dr Alison Ryan (she/her)

Dr Alison Ryan is a caring GP who enjoys the variety and breadth of General Practice.
Alison graduated from Medicine at Monash University in 2007. Before becoming a GP, Alison worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, along with Emergency Medicine.

Alison has completed her Certificate in Women’s Health and has special interests in:
– women’s health
– preconception care
– pregnancy care, including shared antenatal care
– contraception, including Implanon insertion/removal and intrauterine devices (IUDs)
– sexual health
She also loves seeing babies and children.

Outside her work at Hawthorn Medical, Alison works in healthcare for disadvantaged youths.
Her hobbies include gardening, cooking and spending time outdoors with her three young children.

Alison is available for appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays and some Saturdays.
